The possibility of buying at any time, access to all types of global products and, above all, the ability to save money, are the three preferred characteristics of Spaniards when making purchases on the Internet, according to a study prepared by TNS
According to the data, 50% of Spanish Internet users use online platforms to buy the items they need in order to save. The majority profile of these online shoppers are men aged 35 to 44 (52%), with a child living at home.
Access to a global market means that six out of ten Spaniards have a preference for going to the world wide web to 'treat themselves'. Among the countries preferred by the Spanish when buying online, China stands out.
The items most in demand by Spanish online buyers to Chinese sellers belong to the category of technology (57%), fashion (36%) and decoration (27%). The majority profile of buyers who purchase goods originating in China are young people from 20 to 29 years old who usually buy online after the holidays. Within this profile, women prefer to purchase fashion, decoration and beauty products, while men opt for technology.
More than half of young Spaniards purchase online products from sellers located in this country. Of this percentage, eight out of ten do so motivated by the price, since they consider that they are significantly cheaper than those of other sellers, explains Sondea in a report for eBay.
Other reasons highlighted by the respondents are the exclusivity or the possibility of obtaining unique items that have not arrived in Spain (38%), the variety of inventory available (29%) and the high availability of units of these items (23%). ).
